I've been running retreats in this country manor since 2001 as its suitably spacious, generous and conducive to instilling a sense of freedom on these profoundly healing weekends. I feel a real connection to the place, the land and the ancient cedar tree which dwarfs the huge house.
Parmoor is a tiny village in The Chiltern Hills, surrounded by forests, just forty minutes on a train from London Marylebone to High Wycombe and a short, shared taxi ride to the venue can usually be arranged. The Retreat promises a rich melding of mindful moving, free-flow and form with moments of stillness and deep repose.

Extraordinary transformations happen when a group unites with common purpose in most conducive, even sublime a setting and company.

There will be morning and evening meditation and yoga by day. We practice in a beautiful former Chapel with glass doors opening out onto lush grounds. £330 includes all tuition, delicious and well balanced vegetarian meals, refreshments and accommodation in single or twin bedrooms, mostly ensuite.

"Breaking into a barefoot run across the grass in the brilliant autumn sunshine, I realised that this was the first time I'd run spontaneously - and joyously - for years!"
