‘Dearest Sal, The retreat was absolutely fantastic in every way…It was so good to hang out with such lovely people, the house was divine, Becca’s food delicious and health giving, oh yes, and Yoga/ Meditation was sublime… I don’t think I have ever felt so well, at peace and contented.‘

On the eve of Summer Solstice in a lovely village in Aube, north-central France, The GoldenYoga Retreat will begin on Thursday 21st June for 4 full days and 5 nights, until Tuesday 26th June. I'm delighted to invite you to share the fruits of GoldenYoga in this most conducive setting. Last summer I practiced yoga in the shade of a Paulownia tree at the centre of the former farmstead, fine tuned by Pat (who some of you met in Puglia & Parmoor) for her cello courses. The barn with the red felt hanging will be wonderful for yoga and I'm honoured to have been invited to bring a group here and feel it to be most fitting, as it emerged from a passion to impart practice!
You can see the characteristic skyline of Villiers with church steeple and water tower; a sunset and stargazing magnet!
There's a stack of bikes at Maison Legg and tracks across fields and through forests abound, between medieval villages and market towns. Pilgrims on The Camino occasionally pass through the village.
Still fizzing and feeling echoes of the expanse of the land beneath the vast, open skies of The Champagne Ardennes region and would love you to join me on retreat.
Its about a 4 hour drive from Calais. Eurostar trains dept. from St. Pancras International to Troyes via Paris. Villiers le Bois is a 50min drive from Troyes. I'll suggest a train we can meet you from.
I imagine car share may be arranged, if anyone else felt like driving...

"Breaking into a barefoot run across the grass in the brilliant autumn sunshine, I realised that this was the first time I'd run spontaneously - and joyously - for years!"
